Mac Miller has been slowly leaking new material over the last several months, and last night he continued that trend with the unexpected debut of a new track titled “Erica’s House.”
Posted to Soundcloud under the name of his alter ego Larry Fisherman, “Erica’s House” is a lo-fi track that is big on wordplay and minimal on production. Miller opens with a few spoken lines about life and being frustrated with people who confuse him with Macklemore, then uses the verses to display his latest tongue-twisting lines on existence and pop culture. He touches on where life has taken him, his frustrations with being a white rapper in a world filled with white rappers he can not stand, and much more. You can stream the track, which also features an appearance from Treejay, below.
It’s unclear when Mac Miller will deliver his next album or EP, but if our research is correct he may have as many as four new titles on the way in 2014 from his various projects, including his long-awaited collaborative effort with Pharrell.
